The Integrated Advanced Systems (IAS) team in Boeing Phantom Works is looking for an Associate Electronic Design Engineer to join our team to work on a variety of activities related to advanced mission systems in Berkeley, Missouri

As an Associate Electronics Warfare Design Engineer, you will be part of a team working on the development of a Software Defined Radio (SDR)

You will have the opportunity to work on the embedded software development, implementation of Big Iron open architecture standards, and test of products as they move through their development lifecycle

There will also be tasks related to evaluation of effectiveness of varies mission systems technologies installed on a variety of platforms to assist with technology development and Electronic Warfare system evaluations

There will also be opportunities to assist with writing proposals for new business

You will also interact with engineers in multiple disciplines outside of electrical engineering

Apply general knowledge of electronic/electrical systems or subsystems and components including operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces

Position Responsibilities: Assists in developing and validating requirements for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components

Assists in the development and validation of electromagnetic requirements for electricallectronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures

Assists in developing architectures to integrate components into higher level systems and platforms

Performs trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component and interconnects performance and to optimize design around established requirements

Defines and conducts simple tests to validate performance of designs to requirements

Collects and analyzes data on supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements

Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by recommending engineering solutions to issues

Supports project management by preparing and presenting project status data

Writes simple sections of proposals to support development of new business

Works under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment

Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Basic Qualifications ( Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

Level 2: 2 years of experience leading or working similar projects or teams with a Bachelor’s OR work-related experience with a Masters E xperience programming in C/C++ Experience programming in Python Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Active US Secret or higher security clearance

Experience working with EW systems Experience working with RF hardware Experience with embedded software development Experience with Open Architectures, especially Big Iron Typical Education/ Experience: Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g

Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g

Master)

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
